18th cent. Paper. 19.5-20 × 16 cms. Pp. 192, bound in wrong order but with survival in large part of original pagination. The present order of the pages is : 129-91 (with unnumbered blank page after 173), [33-6], [41]-42, 47-8, 37-40, 49-128, 194-7, 192-3, 198-9, 8 pp. now numbered [207-214], 200-206 (with 204 repeated), and 12 pp. now numbered [215-26]. Pp. 43-6 lost; pages also missing after 206 and [214], before [215] and after [226]. Pp [207-226] may possibly belong at the beginning, though it is more likely that all of pp. 1-32 have been lost. No scribal signature or date, but the words 'Táim curtha don obairsi' occur in the scribe's hand at p. 88 i. Front cover now missing; back cover of cardboard survives, labelled '28' (over earlier label), with backing-leaf of paper now loose. Holes in pp. 82-6, with loss of text made good on loose slips (originally glued in place, but now separated through damp?) ; pp. 129-[l36] also damaged with some loss of text.
The signature of 'John Cummin', a former owner, occurs in the margins of pp. 56, 74, 81 and 101. Other marginalia : (a) 57 i (inverted). 'Command you may your mind.' (b) 128, right margin. '(I ?) Promise to pay In to M r. Francis [. . .]' (remainder torn away). (c) 148, right margin. 'Edmd Hanin.' Some further writing on pp. 114, 129, 179, 180.
