NotesContains no scribal signatures although the work of several scribes are identified by Abbott and Gwynn (1921). (1) pp.1-73 (2) pp. 74-88 (3) 89-156 (4) pp. 157-192 (5) pp.193-208 (6) pp.209-220 (7) pp. 249-258 (8) p. 273 contains a 'cryptic note' at the foot of page which may be a scribal signature. The Tract on pp.1-124 corresponds to MSS 1283 and 1436. p. 260 contains a diagram of the eye.

DescriptionTCD MS 1435 is an Irish medical manuscript, thought to have been written in the 17th century. The manuscript contains information on illnesses and their treatments. The text draws on work from Avicenna, Hippocrates, Guilelmus de Varignana of Bologna, and Johannes de Sancto Amando, of Salerno. On p. 260 is a diagram of the eye.
